First Conference to Promote Next Generation of Transparent AI in the US

VIENNA / AUSTIN, 9 January 2020 – The first edition of SEMANTiCS Conference to take place in the United States was announced today by Semantic Web Company and its partner Enterprise Knowledge.

The conference will provide best practices and real-life case studies of companies using semantics to build artificial intelligence solutions that matter to their business. With the ultimate goal of advocating for AI that people can trust, the conference will be held in Austin, Texas, April 21-23. 

SEMANTiCS has been the leading European conference for semantic technologies and AI for 15 years. Its  first edition in the US will focus on providing practical case studies and guidance to participants on how to benefit from Semantic AI. The conference will cover topics such as Explainable AI, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Technologies, and Data Governance. A number of renowned experts will speak at the conference, including the following highlights:

  • Aaron Bradley, Senior Manager for Web Channel Strategy at Electronic Arts.
  • Ivo Willems, Business Transformation and Information Technology Executive at Fluor.
  • Amit Sheth, Founding Director of the Artificial Intelligence Institute and Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of South Carolina.
  • Ruben Verborgh, Technology Advocate for Inrupt.
