Conference Postponed due to Growing Concerns over COVID-19 Virus

March 12, 2020 by Thomas Thurner

Dear Visitors, Speaker, and Sponsors!

The SEMANTiCS conference committee and organizers have monitored and assessed all recent developments of COVID-19 epidemic. We are following the guidance and recommendations of the US government, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO). The latest forecasts show that COVID-19 epidemic will be still present in April 2020. Given this news, we have decided to postpone the conference and are currently aiming for a new date in April 2021

At the moment we are in discussions with the SEMANTiCS conference venue, the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, to evaluate and discuss this option. Tickets that have already been purchased will still be valid for the postponed conference and automatically rebooked. We hope to have the new date nailed down and published within the next couple of days and will inform you immediately thereafter.

All the best and see you next spring in Austin,

Thomas Thurner
